“Why do we have to send the kids to school with all of this winter gear?” I complained as we were late for the bus.
“I wish we could always wear this stuff to school,” my son replied, smiling ear to ear.
I paused. I saw his perspective. This was fun, exciting, new. Playing in the snow at school with your friends was thrilling for a five year old! So what if it took me an extra five minutes to get him ready. His joy is worth those five minutes.
This made me reflect on perspective.
Where else in my life do I float toward negativity but there is actually a more beautiful way to see it?
There’s always something good.
